How to get there & parking

Visitors need to know that Hallstatt is not accessible by visitor cars.

The historic town is closed off with a gate. You will have to park outside the gate in one of the official parking lots.

Don’t worry, the parking lots are close by and it is only a 3-minute walk from the lot to the town entrance.

Our house is a 7-minute walk from the parking lot.

On the following website you will see where the parking lots are located:

We recommend the parking lot P2, but P1 is also fine.

Address: Parkpatz P2, Kohlstattweg, 4830 Hallstatt

WALK TO THE HOUSE:

After leaving your car in the parking lot, take your (hopefully light luggage) and walk to the town entrance past the gate.

Once you reach the town, take the first left (Dr. Morton Weg) that leads you up the hill.

Then look out for a small fountain on your left side.

Once you are in front of the fountain, look up and you will see our house.

Go on a little further and take the stairs on the left to get to the house.

Enter the gate to get to the front door.

We highly recommend referring to to following photos while walking to the house.
